Oh my goodness how incredibly stylish this dress is! Although it came to me through an English collector my feeling is it is American in origin with strong French couture notation. Beautiful white lace designed and cut with such skill and flare. Sitting on the curve of the hip the oversized bow gives sass to the elegant ruche of lace. This dress has true wow factor and presents , a very special piece. indeedThe full sleeve and higher neckline give added chic and with a beautifully tailored line this dress will show off the figure with out being too obvious. It brings to mind such greats as Vivienne Westwood and Balanciaga.

A very special dress for today- Happy Valentines day!
The incredibility talented Jessica McGinny created this gorgeous gown by totally reworking two rare vintage wedding dresses. Hidden away for weeks in her studio she emerged having given an entirely new take on the original. Using her couture and costume experience she gave this lace dress her very own design while skilfully keeping the essence of the original piece. She added her beautiful signature hand made bodice work and daring low back which are just some of the creative aspects making her pieces so sort after.
It was no surprise that this dress sold within hours of arriving at our boutique. Each wedding dress she creates has a wonderful mix of modern catwalk couture, vintage glamour and history. They take a great deal of time to make often with much hand finished detail, she had worked extremely hard to answer demand and produced several more completely original dresses now available to see by appointment at our studio.

This gown is so elegant and stylish, it carries a simple silhouette yet is full of beautiful couture detail. The fresh white silk Jersey type fabric, is cool and soft to the touch with a lovely weight to it. Clever design gives this gown the illusion of a fitted column dress over draped with gentle, unassuming gathers. At the shoulders this draws in to an elegant low ‘v’ back. The square neck and empire waist are incredibly flattering falling smoothly over the hips. The gorgeous copper gold waist detail adds unusual and exciting texture and glamour.

I am in love with this gown! ( It may be because it is quite similar to my own wedding dress ) Heavy luxurious oyster silk over worked with a corded lace appliqué decorated with antique tone pearls. The lace is artfully shaped to highlight the tailoring of the dress following the line to the nipped waist and out over the hips. It immediately makes me think of Christian Dior.
The weight of the fabric adds great ceremony and grandeur. When worn the profile of the design is stunning with a perfectly balanced defined high bust line, fitted bodice and sweeping train. It can easily have a Viviennen Westwood inspired bustle
added, this style dress also works very well altering the sleeves to a short or elbow length.
Gorgeous wow factor, show stopping, flattering-golden age of couture glamour and lots of fun to sweep about in. The addition of coloured shoes ( Christian Louboutin
) and bright flowers
a trendy simple or short hair do would look show stopping!
